More Than a Coach

Basketball has taken me across the country as a player, competitor, coach, and mentor.

From high-level camps and college programs to years of coaching, training, and leading athletes at multiple levels, this game has shaped my life.

But basketball didn’t just teach me how to compete.

It taught me discipline. Resilience. Leadership. And eventually… purpose.

After overcoming major life and health battles, I made a decision:

Everything this game gave me, I would pour back into the next generation.

For the last 14+ years, I’ve helped athletes grow on and off the court through skill development, mindset training, leadership, and real accountability.

I’ve coached across AAU, public, charter, and private school environments.

I’ve built programs.

I’ve mentored families.

And I’ve worked to help athletes become more than talented players.

My players learn how to:

  • stay coachable, even when it’s tough

  • handle pressure without folding

  • move with discipline on and off the court

  • lead their team and lead themselves

That’s the real game.

And that’s where the M.E.R.I.T.S. Standard comes in:

Mindset. Effort. Responsibility. Integrity. Together. Self.

These aren’t buzzwords — they’re the foundation.

It’s how we train.
How we grow.
How we win at life.

Because when you build the person first, the player levels up automatically.

I DON’T JUST TRAIN HOOPERS.

I build:

  • disciplined athletes

  • coachable leaders

  • stronger decision-makers

Because talent alone isn’t enough.

I know what happens when athletes have ability… but no structure.

That’s why my system focuses on the full student-athlete.

Whether I’m working with a young player learning post footwork or an older player preparing for a serious opportunity, I show up the same way:

Passion - I still love this game like I’m lacing up.

Precision - Every drill has a purpose. This is not rec ball.

Mentality - We train what wins when talent is not enough.

Realness - Truth, structure, and belief. That’s what I give every player.

My mission is simple:

Help athletes build habits, earn trust, and create real opportunities through basketball.

Because the goal is not just more buckets.

It’s building better players and better people.
